I am so glad to not be TA-ing for almost 400 students again this semester. I gave an exam review session tonight and it was in a regular-sized classroom that had desks. I forgot the powerpoint I had prepared but it was all good because there weren't a million pairs of eyes on me. It's great when I have to grade assignments for both classes I TA for and I only get 140 instead 380. It's wonderful. And there is no sarcasm in that statement.
Last semester Dr. Dyer figured out that for his class alone (not including Dr. Roper's class I TA for) there were over 5,700 papers, quizzes, and exams his TAs had to keep track of. Granted I had help from other TAs (a whopping total of 4), I am still incredibly impressed I maintained sanity last semester.
Early bedtime for me and Brenden tonight. Both of us have some really horrible stomach bug and we have no idea where it came from. We'll see if I go to my gymnastics class in the morning. I really don't want to throw up on someone after flipping around on the uneven bars. (Which really isn't that likely since I can barely flip around the uneven bars.) After tomorrow and Thursday morning/early afternoon I will be on a flight to Texas where it will still be way too cold. But it will be Texas. So still better.
